The Circle of Glory

The new age has now begun,
It is the time of earth’s sunset,
And the time of heaven’s sunrise,
The day-spring of eternity.

Gathered around the Throne
The host of the redeemed,
In their midst a lamb
As it had been slain,
The sacrifice for sin.

Now the Lamb stands
In the circle of glory
As the one who overcame death,
High priest forever.

Small wonder it is
That the redeemed sing
“As it were a new song,”
A hymn of praise:

“Worthy is the Lamb that was
slain to receive power, and riches,
and wisdom, and strength, and
honour, and glory, and blessing.”
